4K Resolution
The more pixels, the better the picture quality
While a standard high-definition image contains 1,080 pixels along the vertical axis and 1,920 pixels along the horizontal axis—for a total of 2,073,600 pixels—4K resolution doubles each of these dimensions.
The name “4K” refers to its horizontal resolution of 3,840 pixels, which is close to 4,000. A 4K image contains 8,294,400 pixels—more than 8 megapixels. This higher pixel count delivers a sharper, clearer picture.
Full HD: 1920 × 1080 pixels
2K: 2048 × 1080 pixels
4K or Ultra HD: 3840 × 2160 pixels
